Lots of awesome links for the week:
- I want a giant poster of this YA Retellings web.
- There are hundreds of audiobooks available for free. You know, in case you want a break from the Frozen soundtrack.
- Because Black History Month should last all year.
- Maybe our best novels are yet to come.
- The amazing Christa talks about consent in YA.
- Daniel Handler interviews Kate DiCamillo, kidlit awesomeness ensues.
- “The future of our Nations will be in the hands of our children. Books that reflect them and their nations are crucial to the well being of all our Nations.” Excellent list of books by/about indigenous people.
- I am a big fan of rereading and “Hocus Pocus.”
- Shakespeare sure killed a lot of characters.
- The secret life of W.H. Auden.
- Online quiz + writing retreat = stuff I love.
- Fictional bears would totally kill you.
- My favorite part of March Madness is the bookish interpretations–Shakespearean plays and heroes vs. villains! I’m hoping it comes down to Macbeth vs. Twelfth Night and Atticus Finch vs. Voldemort.
- Really tempted to move to Paris.
Loved the Handler/DiCamillo interview, which I would have missed completely if not for your link! Thank you. Also, I have been to Shakespeare and Company a couple of times. How cool would that be to write and work there?!!
Atticus Finch would totally slay Voldemort with his intelligence and humanity! Every time.
See you in a couple of weeks. I never got to talk to you last year. This time I will make a special point of telling you how much I enjoy your blog!!
Thanks so much, Mary! Can’t wait to see you at WP. 🙂
