Coraline by Neil Gaiman is the perfect near-Halloween reading choice–it’s creepy and adventurous and not a typical scary reading choice. And now you can listen to Neil Gaiman and other famous people read it to you!
Chapters 1-8 have been posted thus far, so there’s plenty of time to catch up.
Also, Neil Gaiman’s reading voice is very Alan Rickman-y. Reason #521 why he’s awesome?
How very cool! I just started reading this to my daughter who saw the movie and wanted to read the book so we are on chapter 3 starting tonight! She loves it! I may indulge and listen to the recording above. Thanks for sharing this!
Aw, yay! This is perfect timing. Hope you guys enjoy the rest!
I just finished my first Neil Gaiman book, “Neverwhere.” I have to say it was the most bizarre thing I think I’ve ever read. But I couldn’t stop reading it. By the time I was done with it, it didn’t seem bizarre at all. Very different from formulaic fantasy stories.
I haven’t read that one yet! Sounds very cool.
I really liked it. It does help to have a working knowledge of London, though. Otherwise, it would be kind of hard to understand, I think.
